Visiting Researcher from the University of Cambridge joins the GCRO

Joanna Watterson, a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, joins the GCRO as a Visiting Researcher until May 2023. Joanna has been working on the Off-Grid Cities Research Project since 2021. Her research interests include infrastructure, energy landscapes, off-grid transitions, urban governance, and social and climate justice. She will be working with GCRO researchers on theInclusive Economies Research Programme until May 2023. Her main focus in the programme is specifically on conducting research to unpack the socio-economic impacts of loadshedding. The Inclusive Economies Research Programme welcomes Joanna on board.
