Graduation of first joint-supervised student: UJ/GCRO

On 4 October, Adeline Ngie graduated with a MSc in Environmental Management at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Her dissertation is entitled “A GIS Approach for Flood Vulnerability and Adaptation Analysis in Diepsloot, Johannesburg.” She was co-supervised by Prof Harold Annegarn of UJ and Maryna Storie from the GCRO, a partnership between UJ, the University of the Witwatersrand and the Gauteng Provincial Government. Adeline is the first UJ student to graduate as part of the GCRO and UJ collaboration. A joint paper has also been submitted to a peer-reviewed publication, based on the research.
