GCRO welcomes new senior researcher

GCRO is excited to welcome Dr Sally Peberdy, who joins GCRO from the University of the Western Cape, where she taught urban geography. Sally has extensive experience in research related to cross border migration and trade in southern Africa. She has made contributions to policy debates around cross border migration issues in South and southern Africa. Her last book, Selecting Immigrants: National Identity and South Africa’s Immigration Policies, 1910-2008, was published in 2009 by Wits University Press and won her a University of the Witwatersrand research prize. Born in Kenya she has lived in South Africa since 1994.
