GCRO honours Mandela Day at Tsholetsega Primary School
On 18 July, the Gauteng City-Region Observatory (GCRO) celebrated Mandela Day at Tsholetsega Primary School in Kagiso. The event focused on honouring Nelson Mandela's legacy of service and community upliftment. The day's main activity was a book drive for primary school learners, with donations coming from GCRO and Wits University staff. This showcased a strong sense of community and support for education.
GCRO staff and volunteers engaged with the students through various educational and recreational activities, fostering a spirit of unity and learning. The day served as a testament to the power of collective effort to make a positive impact on young minds and the broader community.
GCRO is committed to Mandela's vision of a better, more inclusive society. The book drive at Tsholetsega Primary School was not just a tribute to Mandela, but also a reminder of the ongoing work needed to build a brighter future for all.
