The Gauteng City-Region Observatory (GCRO) is gearing up for the 6th iteration of its flagship Quality of Life survey. GCRO implements the Quality of Life survey every two years. The first survey took place in 2009, and results from the most recent survey were released in late 2018. The survey has become one of the largest social surveys in South Africa, and is highly regarded by academia, government, and civil society.

The GCRO, working closely with Wits Procurement, has published the tender documentation for the QoL VI (2020) survey. Documentation is available at https://www.wits.ac.za/about-wits/tenders/

Deliverables will include questionnaire digitisation, final piloting, managing and conducting approximately 13 500 household interviews, quality control, data management, the provision of specified process-related reports, and preparation of a clean dataset. Tenders are invited from service providers with experience in completing large-scale household surveys, to a high level of quality.

The compulsory clarification meeting will be held on Thursday, 21 November at 10:00.
