Review of economic development policies in the GCR

This project will be a comprehensive review of existing economic policies and strategies as part of orientating the programme to unpack what Inclusive Economies means and is understood across the GCR. The review will use policy and planning documents as a core resource and will interview key informants. The project aim is to (a) scope the existing economic activities being undertaken by provincial and local government in the various municipalities of the Gauteng province (b) create a database of economic development policies, programmes and projects in the GCR with the help of nine postgraduate students during December 2023.
